Industry veteran Andrew Curle is retiring from Irdeto after 18 years with the conditional access company.
“Andrew is one of the early pioneers of the pay-TV industry and we thank him for his years of commitment, particularly in bringing conditional access technology to the mainstream and for his role in leading Irdeto’s fight against piracy,” said Graham Kill, Chief Executive Officer of Irdeto. “His contribution to the ongoing success of Irdeto and seeing the company enter its 40th successful year is very much appreciated. He will be greatly missed.”
Curle was Irdeto’s vice president of special projects and joined the company from South African pay-TV provider M-Net. He had previously spent 30 years at the SABC completing is tenure as chief research engineer. At Irdeto he held a number of roles including general manager Irdeto South Africa. He led a number of security initiatives and represented the company at AEPOC.
