Discovery Networks UK has confirmed to Broadband TV News that its executive VP and MD of Discovery Networks in the UK and Ireland, Dan Brooke, is to step down.
Brooke joined the UK operation in November 2005 and has been responsible for more than a dozen networks in the Discovery portfolio including Discovery HD, Discovery Real Time and Discovery Channel itself.
Given that Discovery UK operates as an entity separate from its continental European operations, Brooke reported directly to Greg Ricca, president & CEO of Discovery Networks International.
Brooke was previously controller of digital channels at Channel 4, where he launched and developed E4, FilmFour and More4. He also worked as a marketing director for Paramount Comedy Channel.
