The sale of Spanish DTH platform Digital+ was put on hold today after owners Prisa failed to agree on a price for the Astra-distributed operation.
The publishing company that acquired Digital+ as part of its purchase of Sogecable had been seeking €2.5 billion, however would-be owners Telefonica and Vivendi are refusing to move beyond €2 billion.
Financial daily Negocio, citing sources familiar with the situation, said the two parties had walked away. However, Prisa insists that the talks are ongoing.
