NDS has announced three significant changes to its executive structure. Caroline Le Bigot has expanded her responsibility to include Latin America; Jesper Knutsson has been promoted to vice president and general manager of sales, NDS Americas and Sue Taylor has been promoted to senior vice president and general manager, Asia Pacific.
Le Bigot has added Latin America to her existing responsibilities in the EMEA region including that of general manager NDS France. Prior to joining NDS Le Bigot worked at Thomson, where she was vice president of Broadband Access Products for Europe and Asia. She was previously vice president of its worldwide cable and decoder business, and also spent time at Gemplus and Apple Inc.
Knutsson moves from Denmark, where he was NDS vice president, interactive TV, working on content for broadcasters including QVC, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network. Knutsson joined Visionik in 1996; the company was to form the core of NDS Denmark. He will serve a North American customer based that includes DirecTV, Cox Communications and Cablevision.
Sue Taylor joined NDS in 1995, at its regional headquarters in Hong Kongm supporting the launch of StarTV and other customers in the Asia Pacific region.
Earlier this month, NDS announced an investment of over US$120 million in India since opening its R&D centre in Bangalore in 2000.
