MTV HD will launch in France on November 6 at the same time as the live broadcast of the MTV Music Awards. Initially, the channel will be available exclusively to CanalSat subscribers. After a grace period, the cable operator Numericable will also offer MTV HD to its subscribers.
MTV HD will be available from 9pm on November 6, when the live telecast of the Music Awards starts. The music channel promises 250 hours of native HD programming. As a “bonus”, MTV network will also broadcast two hours of Nickelodeon programming in HD every weekend.
