The Belgian Dutch language DTH platform TV Vlaanderen has said it will continue to offer the public channel VRT Een HD at no additional cost (“for free”) to their subscribers.
Originally, the public broadcaster planned to only transmit during the summer to cover the Olympic Games and Tour de France in HD, but decided to keep the HD version of its main general entertainment channel alive.
TV Vlaanderen has now decided to continue to offer the channel to all its Belgian subscribers. In addition, the platform offers an HD bouquet at €4.99 a month comprising of Brava HDTV, National Geographic HD, VOOM HD and Discovery HD.
