The Welsh language broadcaster S4C is to provide English language commentary on selected sports events where rights allow.
The new service will be available on the Red Button on S4C Digidol on Sky, Freeview, Freesat and Virgin TV in Wales, and outside Wales on Sky and Freesat. The main television soundtrack will continue to be in Welsh.
It is planned that all live and highlights of The Principality Welsh Premier League and Welsh Cup football, as well as highlights of Wales’ home international matches, will have English language commentary. Rugby Union will include the Magners League, Swalec Cup and live games from the Principality Premiership.
