BUCHAREST BUSINESS BREAKFAST: Romania will eventually have up to eight DTT multiplexes, according to Cristian Ivanciovici, the head of the Control Department at the country’s National Broadcasting Council (CNA).
However, he added that the introduction of DTT services in Romania would only take place once the Audiovisual Law is amended. This would result in a strategy from the transition from analogue to digital broadcasting being approved within 12 months.
Speaking exclusively to Broadband TV News, he also said that a DTT tender could take place in 2009.
