Pierre Danon has been appointed as the new CEO of the French telecom companies Numericable and Completel, it was announced today. At the same time, cable operator Numericable will start to roll out its ADSL service across France. Numericable and Completel will remain two separate companies, but the focus will be on building a complete triple play offer across the country. To this end, Numericable will use the Completel infrastructure to offer ADSL in the areas of the country not served by the cable networks. On the other hand, Completel will make use of the fibre optic networks owned by Numericable to reach more parts of the country with its B2B service.
