Headroom for satellite audio distribution

May 20, 2008 09.10 Europe/London By Donald Koeleman

ANGA Cable 2008 Preview: Headroom Broadcast GmbH/2wcom GmbH, hall 10.2 stand H70

Germany’s audio distribution and DVB-S transmission specialist Headroom Broadcast and the professional satellite receiver maker 2wcom GmbH will present a new DVB Audio chain.

Completely manufactured in Germany, it consists of the MXTS from Headroom Broadcast that encodes up to 19 audio programmes into a DVB-TS (Transport Stream), and the professional Satellite Receiver DSR01 from 2wcom. The system is primarily aimed at feeding in to cable headend stations terrestrial transmitter networks.

“By the cooperation with the 2wcom GmbH, we are able to present the whole DVB Audio chain to our customers. From the Multiplexer MXTS up to the adapted decoder of 2wcom”, explains Headroom Broadcast general manager Klaus Feige.

“With this compatible system we will meet the requirements of the current market situation. And we also offer a better service to our clients. They get the double competence, but can concentrate on one contact person, and complete know-how from one source”, adds Werner Drews, 2wcom’s general manager.
