Loewe is set to introduce a range of Full HD and HD Ready television sets with built-in satellite receivers for the Dutch and Belgian markets. The sets have been certified by the two DTH platforms, Canal Digitaal and TV Vlaanderen.
The sets will have a satellite receiver as well as the MediaGuard conditional access system, as used by the two platforms, built in. The parties will join in a special marketing and advertising campaign to promote the new products.
Canal Digitaal and TV Vlaanderen currently offer an HD bouquet of three channels, consisting of Discovery HD, National Geographic HD and BravaHDTV. Until now, only two certified Philips HD receivers were available, a regular HD set-top box and one with a PVR.
