MultiChoice is to make further changes to the line up of its DStv platform following customer feedback.
The changes will be made to the African DTH service on May 1, 2008 when movies and entertainment channels will be merged into a single category.
Flagship channel M-Net will remain on channel 101, but there are new numbers for other proprietary channels MM1, MM2 and M-Net Stars that will appear on channels 101, 104 and 105 respectively.
The platform is reorganizing its channels into groups that it hopes will be easier to remember. Sport will appear in the 200s, Kids 300s and News 400s. News and business channels have previously begun at 280.
A promotional campaign advising of the changes will begin on April 18.
