Bulgaria’s incumbent telco BTC is reported to have launched an ADSL-delivered voice service.
It is being made available, as part of a package that includes internet access, for a monthly fee of BGN46.90 (€24), thereby undercutting the cost of similar services offered by alternative carriers.
BTC, which is owned by AIG Investments, has yet to launch an IPTV service. The market leader in the Bulgarian IPTV sector is currently believed to be Vestitel AG, an alternative telco backed by Russia’s Gazprom.
