Sky and MTV have launched a limited edition set-top box designed to extend the DTH platform’s share of second TV sets.
The limited edition receiver has been given a ‘cutting edge’ look based on a human x-ray with MTV at its heart.
The MTV designed box will retail at £49 and will be available from today through a dedicated Sky website. A Multiroom subscription will cost owners, or perhaps parents, an additional £10 per month. Some 1.5 million of Sky’s 8.2 million subscribers already have a Multiroom subscription.
The set-top is the latest piece of joint marketing between Sky and MTV, which ran a joint programming promotion over the recent Easter holiday period.
