The Dutch incumbent telecom operator KPN is seriously interested in taking part in the Belgian DTT service, said Marcel Smith, KPN CFO. The activities would go through the Belgian operations of Tele2, which KPN recently acquired. In The Netherlands, KPN owns the sole DTT licence holder, Digitenne, which sells a 23-channel boquet as a low priced alternative to cable. The service has over 500,000 subscribers.
