A battle over the TV rights to Euro 2008 has broken out between TVP and Polsat, Poland’s two leading broadcasters. . Local reports say the latter is demanding PLN10 million (€2.82 million) from the public broadcaster for a share of the rights, held by Polsat, as per an agreement reached on December 14 last year. TVP denies that such an agreement was reached and is only willing to pay PLN7.5 million at most.
