IPTV WORLD FORUM – LONDON. Neuf Cegetel is predicting one million subscribers for its IPTV service and has signalled a shift towards the generation of increased ARPU from its existing subscriber base. Nicolas Bry, chief marketing officer, Neuf Cegetel told delegates that having merged with Club Internet last year, the company has three steps in building its subscriber proposition in the highly competitive French market.
“We’re working on the TV offering, Neuf Cegetel has a very attractive pay-TV offer; The second element is to work on the VOD consumption, and lastly develop services, though we don’t know if these will be free or pay,” said Bry.
The company currently has 750,000 subscribers, which Bry expects to reach one million before the end of 2008.
New subscribers receive a free PVR box, free installation, and free access to the pay-TV channels for the first three months of their subscription.
Neuf Cegetel has this week unveiled a new interface for its VOD service (see separate story).
