Moves to privatise the incumbent Slovenian telco Telekom Slovenije appear to be unravelling. It has been reported locally that a private equity consortium made up of Bain Capital, Axos Capital and BT Global Services has decided to withdraw its bid for a 49.13% stake in the telco, whose interests include the country’s leading IPTV operation, SioL TV. Iceland’s Skipti, the last remaining bidder, was also understood to be close to withdrawing its offer earlier this month.
