Virgin Media Television is to reshuffle its portfolio of channels on Sky Digital in a move that will give a more prominent position to entertainment channel Virgin 1.
The changes, expected to take place on February 20, will see Virgin 1 and Virgin 1+1 move to channels 121 and 122 currently occupied by Bravo and onto the second page of the EPG. Bravo and Bravo +1 shuffle along to 123 and 124 with Challenge moving to 125.
The losers in the reshuffle are staggercast channels Challenge +1 and Bravo 2, which take the two Virgin slots at 153 and 154 respectively.
Since rebranding from FTN, Virgin 1 has taken on a significant role in the promotion of Virgin’s services, taking advantage of the channel’s availability on cable, satellite and DTT.
Viewers will be informed of the changes through a series of on-air promotions.
