RTL is looking at entering the Flemish market in 2008, said Philippe Delussine, member of the board of RTL Belgium. The broadcaster has been looking for years into the possibility of setting up a Flemish TV channel, but the plans never materialised. RTl is already the main commercial broadcaster in the Walloon part of the country with channels such as RTL-TVi and Club RTL. RTL’s main rival, the ProSiebenSat.1 Group, has a presence in the Flemish market after acquiring the SBS stations VT4 and Vijftv. RTL could either start its won channel or seek cooperation with the VMMa.
