Romania’s net ad market was worth between €520-560 million in 2007, according to data published by the local press. Although TV accounted for around 60% of the total, the Internet was the fastest growing, with revenues being 80% up on the previous year. Inflation was particularly high in the TV sector, with a rate ranging from 25-45% depending on the client in question. The most advertised brands in Romania last year were those of the mobile companies Cosmote, Orange and Vodafone. TV ad spend is expected to grow by between 25-40% this year.
