Marek Singer is to become the new general director of the Czech national commercial station Prima TV, according to a local report. He will take over from Aleksandras Cesnavicius, who became the head of Prima TV in 2006 following MTG’s acquisition of a 50% stake in the station. Prima TV was established in the early 1990s and competes with CME’s TV Nova and the public broadcaster CT. Data produced by ATO shows it had an audience share of 17.59% among viewers aged 15+ in the last week of December 2007.
