Janis Sidovsky has been appointed the new spokesman for the Czech digital channel Barrandov TV. A well-known producer and manager, he will play an important role in the launch of the channel, which along with Febio TV, TV Pohoda, Ocko, RTA and Z1 was awarded a ‘compensatory’ licence in late 2007. Barrandov TV’s parent company is one of the largest and oldest film studios in Europe, having produced at least 2,500 Czech and international movies in over 70 years.
