The Hungarian alternative telco Etel has been bought by the local ISP Interware for an undisclosed fee. Etel was formerly owned by Telekom Austria, which still retains divisions of the company in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and its home market. It has not as yet entered the Hungarian IPTV market, which is only served by a handful of companies headed by the incumbent Magyar Telekom, which launched its T-Home TV service in Q4 2006.
