The Russian IT and Communications Minister Leonid Reyman is reported to have told local journalists that the country’s information and communications technology (ICT) market should grow this year by 25.4% to reach R1.5 trillion (€42.12 billion). He also said it is likely to grow by a further 20% in 2008 to reach R1.8 trillion. Reyman added that he number of Internet subscribers in Russia now stands at 35 million, or 40% more than last year.
