In the next few weeks, two new German TV channels will launch on the Astra position of 19.2 degrees East. First in line is Outpro TV, slated for a start on December 15 with daily programmes on outdoor and Alpine sports.
On Boxing Day, the religious channel [tru:] young television will go on air with a six hour live show aimed at a young audience. Programming will consist of festivals, music, documentaries, comedy and talk shows.
Sometime next year the Aurora channel will start transmitting, a channel in English and German “about the Aarab world”. The media authorities of the German state of Hesse have issued a license to Bibo Media GmbH.
