The leading Czech cable operator UPC will increase the price of two of its programme packages from the beginning of next year. According to a local report, the cost of Mini and Klasik will both rise by CZK10 (€ 0.38) a month to CZK209 and CZK499 respectively. However, there will be no changes the cost of its other services, which including digital TV, broadband Internet access and telephony. UPC currently offers 45 analogue and 68 digital TV channels to its cable subscriber, while those who receive the DTH service UPC Direct are offered 150 channels. Earlier this month UPC reached the one million-subscriber mark for its services in the Czech Republic.
