Canal+ reports growing subs, ad revenues

November 15, 2007 09.02 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Canal+ SA’s consolidated revenues for the nine months ended September 30, 2007 totalled €1,297 million, up €87 million (or more than 7%) from the €1,210 million reported in the first nine months of 2006. The increase was led by growth in the subscription portfolio, as well as in advertising revenue.

The total subscription portfolio came to 5,225,000 at September 30, 2007, or a net gain of nearly 126,000 on the year before. The Canal+ Le Bouquet package represented 68% of the portfolio at the end September, compared with 57% a year earlier.

Consolidated revenues for the third quarter came to €431 million, an increase of 9% from €396 million in the third quarter of 2006.
