Questions are being raised as to when the Czech Republic will complete ASO. Quoted in the local press, Pavel Dvorak, the president of the Czech Telecom Office (CTU), has said that the transition to digital broadcasting should be concluded no sooner than October 10, 2010 and the end of 2012 at the latest. However, only last week the national transmission company Radiokomunikace called for the ASO date to be put back to 2014. The Czech Republic is the only country in CEE to have a ‘digital only’ region, Domazlice near the German border having switched off its analogue transmitters at the end of last month.
