NDS has announced plans to integrate its Simulcrypt Synchronizer (SCS) technology into Qualcomm’s MediaFLO multiplexer software reference platform. The system will allow more than one conditional access system to run on the proprietary mobile TV and data system. The agreement means that NDS SCS software will now be integrated into the reference platform.
Unlike the rival DVB-H system, where the software is provided to mobile operators via the multiplexer, NDS has needed to customise the SCS software to meet the requirements of the FLO system.
