The leading Swiss publishing company Ringier has announced the sale of 12 TV titles in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania, as well as its home market. In the former case, they will be acquired by Heinrich Bauer Publishing House, while Axel Springer will gain control of the Swiss titles. Earlier this year Ringier made a foray into the TV market in CEE by acquiring a 25% stake in a new Romanian channel named Kanal D Romania. Majority owned by the Turkish Dogan Media Group, it made its debut in February.
