According to data published by TNS OBOP, the Polish national commercial station Polsat was the most watched service in the country in May amongst viewers aged 16-49, achieving an audience share of 20.47%. TVP1, the public broadcaster’s first channel, was in second place with 20.07%, followed by TVP2 and TVN with 18.15% and 17.30% respectively. Although TVP1 was still the most popular channel amongst viewers aged 4+ (23.62%), Polsat’s impressive performance in the lucrative 16-49 sector contrasted with that 12 months earlier, when it trailed in third place behind TVP1 and TVP2. The most popular thematic channels last month amongst viewers aged 4+ were the children’s Mini Mini (0.79%) and music-based VIVA Polska (0.53%). VIVA Polska (0.80%) achieved the number one slot in the 16-49 group.
