Tele2 AB announced today that it has purchased the remaining 24.9% in Tele2 Syd AB, the former E.ON Bredband Sverige AB. The broadband over fibre operator passes 500,000 homes in Southern Sweden, though no actual subscriber figures have been released. Tele2 will pay approximately SEK 135m (€14.5 million), for its new shareholding. It had already paid a little over SEK 400 million for the 75.1% of E.ON Bredband it acquired in August 2006.
