The terms of the Polsat/Axel Springer deal are under renegotiation. Speaking to the Polish press, Polsat’s owner Zygmunt Solorz-Zak has said that the aim of the talks is to come up with an agreement that has no mention of joint ownership, but rather a reference to the German company acquiring a stake in the Polish broadcaster. The original €250 million deal was announced in Q4 2006 but subsequently blocked by Poland’s Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK). Despite recent speculation to the contrary, Solorz-Zak insists he has no intention of pulling out of the agreement.
