Polish platform n posts loss

May 28, 2007 06.48 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

The Polish new generation DTH platform n had revenues of €4.569 million and negative EBITDA of €9.342 million in Q1 2007. According to its owners ITI Group, the service, which already had over 140,000 subscribers in mid-May, will shortly introduce an Internet browser, Internet nRadio and a new EPG. More channels and an expanded VOD offer, in the latter case provided in cooperation with NBC Universal’s The Picture Box, will follow later this year. ITI Group’s TVN meanwhile had a better than expected quarter, its revenues of €76.462 million being 24% higher than in the corresponding period in 2006. The cable and satellite-delivered TVN-branded thematic channels contributed strongly to this growth.
