A number of Dutch talk show hosts and television personalities have announced plans for an all-talk, 24-hour TV channel to be called Het Gesprek (Conversation).
Het Gesprek is an initiative by Frits Barend, Ruud Hendriks, Pieter Storms and Derk Sauer, who are aiming for more in-depth programming than the usual fare.
Without going into specific details about the distribution, the new channel will be available on cable and “other platforms”, which can include IPTV. Also, a streaming version will be available on the web alongside the possibility to download specific programmes on-demand. The channel is set for an October 2 launch.
