The Polish DTH platform Cyfra+ has introduced a new basic package. Replacing a thematic offer, it consists of 43 TV channels, 12 radio stations, interactive services and several hundred free-to-air (FTA) foreign language channels and can be received for PLN38 (€9.78) a month. Viewers can, in addition, opt for two further packages (Komfort and Prestige), along with such premium channels as Canal+ and HBO. In other developments, HBO is shortly expected to introduce its animation channel Animax into the Polish market. The children’s channel Nickelodeon, which is operated by MTV Networks, is meanwhile likely to make its debut in Poland either at the end of this year or in early 2008. (CD)
