Belgian cable operator Coditel, which serves the capital Brussels, has begun to five HD channels at no additional cost as part of its basic digital tier. From now on, all HD channels are part of the regular digital tiers. A similar move has taken place on the Nordic DTH operator Canal Digital that recently began to include many HD channels as part of its Family package.
TF1 HD, Arte HD, Luxe TV HD, I-concert and EXQI will be offered as part of the starter package at EUR 14.20 a month. National Geographic HD and HD1 are part of the extended digital retailing at €19.90. Disney Cinémagic HD is part of the Disney option at €7.00.
Viewers can either rent (€10.00 monthly) or buy (€299.00) the HD Cablebox from the cable operator.
