The winners of the 2014 Eutelsat TV Awards will be announced at a gala ceremony in Rome on November 28.
This week, in the last of a series of articles leading up to the ceremony, we look at the nominees in the best programme category.
Each year, the jury drills down beyond the overall presentation of channels to look at specific programmes that break the mould for their creativity, courage and originality and merit the Best Programme Award.
This year’s individual programme entries were quite exceptional, showing an amazing diversity of content and the highest quality of writing, production, filming, directing and acting standards.
The list of programmes was whittled down to four factual and non-factual programmes from Germany, Italy, Switzerland and the UK that the jury considered simply unforgettable: Cuckoo Kids from Schweizer Radio und Fernsehen; Further East with David Tweed from Bloomberg Television, Gomorrah from Sky Atlantic HD (Italy), and The Highest Level from Deutsche Welle.
Voting for the People’s Choice Awards is now also open. Everyone can cast their vote on the special People’s Choice Awards voting form.
