Skylink Live TV, the OTT service operated by the leading Czech and Slovak DTH platform Skylink, was used by around 60,000 customers in the first three months following its launch.
Speaking at a press conference and quoted by Digizone, Jaromir Glisnik, a member of the M7 board, added that Skylink had also registered 51,800 new activated satellite cards this year, up from under 50,000 in 2015.
More importantly, it gained a total of 90,000 pay-TV subscribers this year, of whom 32,000 were in the Czech Republic and 58,000 in Slovakia.
Skylink also used the event to announce changes in its programming line-up, with the number of HD cahnnels being increaed from 35 to 61 in the Czech Republic and 34 to 56 in Slovakia.
It added a total of four new channels to the line up, namely Prima +1, Joj+1, Sport 1 HD and Joj Cinema HD.
