Two of Slovenia’s leading TV channels will no longer be distributed terrestrially from January 16 next year.
However, says the Slovenian regulator AKOS, reception of Pop TV and Kanal A will still be possible via cable, DTH or IPTV.
Pop TV and Kanal A are two of the longest-established channels in Slovenia, having been launched in 1995 and 1991 respectively.
They are both part of the Central European Media Enterprise (CME)-owned company Pro Plus, which also includes the services Brio, Oto and Kino in its channel portfolio.
Pro Plus’s TV channels had a combined audience share of 77% in 2015.
