China also has the world’s largest cable market, with 240 million households, as well as the second largest box office market, worth $6.78 billion, as of 2015.
It also has significant internet video uptake, with 503.91 million online video users in 2025 (+16% y-o-y) and 405.08 million mobile users (+30% y-o-y).
Furthermore, in 2015 17% of OTT video users paid to watch content.
Telcos address the challenge of OTT by bundling, focusing on the quality of their networks and offering value added services.
