Forthnet ended the third quarter with 505,344 pay-TV customers in Greece, a 0.2% increase on the total posted a year earlier.
However, its broadband subscriber total fell by 2.6% to 655,573 over the same period.
At the same time, its unique households and total subscriptions fell by 2.1% and 1.4%, to 804,734 and 1,160,917 respectively.
The number of households with triple play/bundled services rose by a modest 0.1% to 356,183, equivalent to a 0.96pp increase as a percentage of total households.
Meanwhile, Forthnet’s revenues for the first nine months of the year amounted to €267,467,000, a 7.2% reduction on the corresponding period in 2014. Reported and adjusted EBITDA were, at €36,641,000 and €38,891,000, 22.5% and 18.8% respectively lower.
Revenues for the total retail pay-TV business fell by 1.9% year-on-year to €102,601,000, while for the total pay-TV business (normalised) they were down by 1.7% to €13,613,000.
Forthnet’s total bank debt in September 2015 stood at €325 million.
Commenting on the results, Panos Papadopoulos, Forthnet’s CEO, said: “While the Greek economy and the retail sector contracted in 9M2015, leading us to be cautious on our commercial approach, our total subscribers? base remained stable. Still, being an innovative company, with unique know-how of both Greek pay-TV and telco sector, we continue to focus on creating services that differentiate us from competition and secure our company’s leading position in household entertainment and communication services”.
