German business and financial news channel DAF (Deutsches Anleger Fernsehen) has completed its restructuring and insolvency proceedings.
Under the new name Der Aktionär TV (The Shareholder TV), the programme content will be incorporated into the website of magazine Der Aktionär in the forthcoming weeks.
With the move, Börsenmedien AG, the company operating both DAF and Der Aktionär, wants to bundle its media portfolio under the umbrella brand Der Aktionär. “We thereby create a central hub for private investors wanting to comprehensively inform themselves about the current market situation through texts, images, charts and videos,” said Martin Weiß, editor-in-chief of Der Aktionär TV.
DAF filed for insolvency in March 2015 and subsequently turned into a web-only channel. The DTH satellite distribution on Astra (19.2° East) was terminated for financial reasons.
