The Hungarian regulator NMHH has approved the acquisition of a 100% stake in Viasat Hungary by Columbia Pictures.
However, in a statement it adds that the final decision on the deal rests with the Hungarian Competition Authority (GVH).
As previously reported in Broadband TV News, MTG agreed in February this year to sell its Hungarian free-TV operations, comprising the channels Viasat3 and Viasat6 and the catch-up service Viasat Play, to Sony Pictures Television (SPT) Networks, for an undisclosed fee.
