Negotiations between the M7 Group-owned DTH platform Skylink and Slovak public broadcaster RTVS has reached a successful conclusion.
As a result, reports Zive, viewers will be able to receive HD versions of RTVS’ two main channels Jednotka and Dvojka.
It adds that there will now be a period of simulcasting of the channels in SD and HD until the end of next year.
Skylink and RTVS had previously failed to agree on the financial terms of distributing HD versions of the two channels.
Skylink is the leading DTH platform in both the Czech Republic and Slovakia, with around 700,000 customers in the latter.
