The Slovak channel Slovak Sport.TV 3 will cease transmissions this Thursday, January 15.
According to Zive, its operator Slovak Sport.TV will retain its two other channels, with the first remaining a paid-for service and the second free of charge.
The first channel will also now focus on WTA, the hockey champions league, European basketball leagues, American NCAA basketball, Portuguese and Russian football leagues, the Capital One Cup and other content.
Although the second channel used to show the Premier League, it failed to fulfill (viewership) expectations.
Slovak Telekom, the owner of the rights, has since moved coverage to its channel Digi Sport.
Almost every platform in Slovakia currently offers its viewers at least one Slovak Sport.TV channel.
