GS Group has released an upgraded digital set-top box, the GS B211, which employs a new microprocessor produced in-house.
It is designed for the trade-in programme, operated with the DTH platform Tricolor TV and covering older models that do not support HD viewing.
Prior to its release, the previous generation GS B210 was used as a replacement for the devices.
The programme is available to all subscribers who live in the footprint of Eutelsat 36A and 36B and use General Satellite MPEG-2 equipment.
Over 600,000 replacements have been carried out since May and 150,000 more are expected by the end of this year.
New digital boxes supporting HD are expected to replace 1.5 million outdated receivers in 2015.
