Videoland Unlimited is launching its all-you-can watch VOD platform in Netherlands and Belgium today, June 25.
At launch the service is available on iPads, Android tablets and Samsung smart TV’s, later in the year apps will become available for iPhone, Android smartphones, Sony Playstation 3 and 4, and smart TVs from Philips, LG, Toshiba, Sony, Panasonic, Sharp and Loewe. Videoland is also looking at Google Chromecast and Apple TV.
For the moment, Videoland Unlimuted is mainly an OTT service, but a number of major platforms already carry the portal: KPN, Telfort, XS4ALL, Delta, Glashart and Caiway. Negotiations with Ziggo and UPC are reportedly under way.
Subscriptions costs EUR10 a month for unlimited access. Next to Videoland Unlimited, the current Videoland T-VOD service with recent movies remains active. Videoland also said it will produce its Videoland Original series, Zwarte Tulp (Black Tulip), which will come to the platfrom in March 2015.
