MoCA has added CableLabs as a contributor member.
The two organisations have already been working together on a number of technical issues, but by becoming a Contributor member the standards setting organisation will have a greater say in setting MoCa’s technical specifications.
“We have always worked well with MoCA and our membership further establishes and strengthens the relationship,” said Ralph Brown, Chief Technology Officer of CableLabs. “We look forward to continuing our joint efforts in support of cable operators and the broader cable ecosystem.”
“We are pleased that CableLabs has joined MoCA. The cooperation between our two organisations is critical to keeping the cable market strong – in the U.S. and worldwide – through innovation, certification of products and specifications that are mutually beneficial to the operators and consumers,” said Charles Cerino, MoCA President.
MoCA is the standard for home entertainment networking.
